Rep Massie from Kentucky makes the argument against funding Transgenic Edible Vaccines.  The stated purpose is that they will keep prices low, and that they are only used in livestock.  Massie highlights an example of corn vaccines to prevent pigs from getting sick, the DNA material commingled with another crop and contaminated soy beans.
